1. He was inspired to be a writer because he got a d grade in english his first semester in college - he took on the challenge
2. Started reading magazines at 9 years old,
3. Always wanted to go into entertainment and wanted to write -so he married the two with journalism
4. Started out as a teacher for 2.5 years
5. Finished graduate school at NYU and couldn’t find a job so he had to leave New York to go back home and found a job the very next day as a teacher.

7. Taught from 7-3 and left teaching job to work from 4pm - 1am for free as an assistant and after 1.5 years he became the editor and chief of rolling out magazine and she became a teacher
